Who we are

999-LOCKS is a privately owned, family business, with no affiliations to large franchise or agency companies. We do not sub-contract on behalf of other companies and we do not employ sub-contractors.
In this way we are directly answerable to our customers and can offer the highest levels of customer service, quality and value for money.
999-LOCKS started trading in 2002, offering a mobile emergency service. Since those early days the business has grown steadily (we became a Limited Company at the beginning of 2005) and now serve domestic and commercial customers in most of Surrey, Hampshire and parts of Berkshire; including Guildford, Bracknell, Camberley, Farnborough, Fleet and Basingstoke.
We set-out to be not 'just another tradesman' and we think this is reflected in our '6 Rules' of doing business:

  • We always agree specific times for appointments and if delayed more than 15 minutes we promise to telephone to let you know.
  • All work is done against a fixed quotation, and not an hourly rate like many businesses, so if a job takes longer it doesn't cost you more.
  • We happily make appointments before and after office hours, all at no additional cost, so our customers do not have to take time off work.
  • All work is guaranteed and in the unusual event of a problem any correction is done free of charge.
  • We are clean and tidy in our work and appearance and polite and courteous at all times.
  • We will not ask for payment until all work is completed to your satisfaction.

As managing director I want every customer to be more than happy to recommend 999-LOCKS to friends and family. Currently about 60% of all our business comes through referrals or is repeat business with existing customers so our approach seems to be working. Our customers tell us they like our personal, professional and honest approach and we take pride in offering old fashioned customer service.

What we do

Most people think a Locksmith spends their day picking locks to open locked doors. In reality this is only part of our work; much of which is to do with repairing, replacing and upgrading locks and other security features on local homes and businesses.
Many insurance companies now set minimum security requirements (we always advise home owners to check the small print) and it is not unusual for us to carry out free of charge surveys and quotations to bring a property up to these standards.
UPVC / double glazed doors and windows are very popular and offer great low maintenance alternatives to traditional wooden designs but problems still arise; difficulty with locking or failure of the complex locking mechanism is not unusual. We have links with specialist suppliers and offer a repair and refurbishment service, saving our customers many hundreds of pounds on the cost of a replacement door or window.
